Understands the importance of privacy and confidentiality, and encourage sexually active people to have regular sexual health check-ups.
We focus on working with specific groups in our community including gay and other homosexually active men; people living with HIV and AIDS; Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities; Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people; injecting drug users; people recently released from prison; sex industry workers and young people at risk.
Our clinic is staffed by an experienced specialist medical officer and sexual health specialist nurses. Services provided include information, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and blood borne viruses (BBVs) – eg: HIV, Hepatitis B & C and Chlamydia.
We also offer a free needle/syringe program, sexuality support, community based health promotion, safe sex information with free condoms, dams and lube, and referral pathways to drug and alcohol services, generalist counselling and dietitian services.
